Timothy Williams, tuba, is an absolutely fantasitc player who began his musical career at the age of two. Born in a meteorological data processing station near the South Pole, young Timmy grew to love enclosed spaces with small ceilings, and found that his only avenue of psychological release was music. Having never heard of musical instruments before, young Timothy built a cylindrical bore aerophone from spare parts stolen from the scientific instruments with which he was continually surrounded. The meteorologists provided Timothy with a wonderful and captive audience, until they could no longer hide the unparalleled level of musicianship tim displayed from the rest of the world. Thus, at age four, Timothy was set adrift on a liferaft into the extreme south Pacific Ocean. Since that time, Timothy has traded in his meteorological aerophone for a tuba and continued to astound audiences around the world with his technical virtuosity, his ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL sound, and his POSITIVELY SUBTLE musical phrasings. Timothy received his BM from Western Michigan University and continues to study with Robert Whaley.
