The Backlund Ensemble in a contemporary brass chamber group in residence at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The group performs extensively both locally and nationally in recitals, masterclasses and competitions. The ensemble specializes in serious music written in the past forty years. Our recital repertoire ranges from Malcolm Arnold to Alvin Etler. In additon to this repertoire, we also have an extensive set of early music ranging from J.S.
