Ben Kadow, trombone, was born and raised in Perham, Minnesota. Ben received his BM from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. While at Concordia, Ben spent four years playing lead trombone with the Concordia Jazz Orchestra and Concordia Concert Band, and three years in the Concordia Orchestra. While in Moorhead, he studied with Dr. Edward Huttlin. Ben also performed in and around the Fargo-Moorhead area with the Silver and Gold Brass Quintet and the Imperials Big Band.

Ben is currently the Graduate Assistant of Trombone at Western Michigan University, studying under Dr. Steve Wolfinbarger. Ben is performing with the Western Symphony Orchestra, University Jazz Lab Band, Western Winds and the Backlund Ensemble. When Ben is not in school he enjoys traveling, building houses, and spending time with his fiance, Lisa. His future plans include a family, a log home, and a career with a premier military band.
